The title says it all. I’m calling out of work tomorrow to have my guy look into it. it’s a 2011 xc, and cruise was working fine yesterday. Drove it home from the shop and found the cruise isn’t engaging. It’s turning on, so the light on the switch is on and red, but doesn’t engage in 6th gear traveling at 75. I know it’s not user error, because it was working fine previously.
Do you guys have any ideas what could be causing this? I’m by no stretch a mechanic, but if i had to guess, could the cable have been pinched?
I’m pretty dissapointed that it’s not working, but for what it’s worth, the pullback bars make the bike handle better, at least for me considering i’m 5’5″.
    -a very dissapoitned kg

i believe there are wires attached on or near the throttle cables under the tank…you may want to check there. I read on another post that there was an issue…follow the cables and hopefully you will see something.

Check under the right side of the tank where the cables go through the mounting plate. I had to re-clip the throttle cable after my mechanic did the recall srvice last year.

I just added a Lloyd’s 1/4turn throttle on my 2013 CCT now my cruise control doesn’t work have heard people talking to disconnect 2 wires near the front of the Tank and triple tree area , can anyone tell me where to find and what to disconnect to make cruise work again

I’ve done that and can’t seam to get the proper Cable adjustment to make it work again , I’m sure this is the problem because the cables had to be loosened to install the throttle ring and after reinstalling cables it didn’t work I’d like to try the 2 wire disconnect to see if it works but I’m not sure which wires to disconnect , anyone know which ones to diesconnect ?
