PERRIS: I’M GOING TO STEP OUT OF THE SHOT SO YOU CAN GET A LOOK AT THE MOTORCYCLE THAT CAUSED THE FIRE. FIREFIGHTERS SAY THE FLAMES SPREAD FROM THE MOTORCYCLE TO THE GARAGE AND THEN TO THE ATTIC UPSTAIRS. THE FIRE IS OUT. THE HOMEOWNER WAS NOT HURT. WE DON’T KNOW HOW THE MOTORCYCLE CAUGHT FIRE. FIREFIGHTERS SAY THE MOTORCYCLE, GARAGE, AND ATTIC ARE A TOTAL LOSS. I’M TOLD THE REST OF THE HOUSE DID NOT RECEIVE OTHER DAMAGE. >> THE ENTIRE ATTIC IS TOTALED. NOT SURE WHAT THE INSURANCE IS GOING TO DO. THE GARAGE WAS FULLY INVOLVED WHEN WE GOT HERE. IT SPREAD INTO THE ATTIC. WE HAVE THE FIRE OUT NOW. PERRIS: RIGHT NOW, FIRE CREWS ARE WRAPPING UP. THERE IS ONE FIRE TRUCK LEFT. THE ATTIC, THE MOTORCYCLE, AND THE GARAGE ARE A TOTAL LOSS IN THIS SITUATION.

A motorcycle sparked a fire Saturday afternoon at a house in The Village, officials said.Firefighters responded to a report of a fire at a home on Lanesboro Drive, near Britton Road and Pennsylvania Avenue, where they extinguished a blaze that spread from the motorcycle, to the garage and attic. Officials have not said how the motorcycle caught fire.No injuries were reported, but the motorcycle, garage and attic are total losses, according to fire officials. The rest of the home wasn’t damaged.”Pretty much the entire attic is totaled,” said Lt. Canaan Coy, with the Oklahoma City Fire Department. “Not really sure what the insurance is going to do, but the garage was fully involved when we got here and, so from there, it spread to the attic. We do have the fire out at this time, though.”
